IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - Due to unprecedented workload pressure, we are unable to accept any new registrations until further notice. We would also encourage all of our patients, wherever possible, to use the local services available: Community Pharmacy for minor ailments, NHS 111 and Local Minor Injury Units.
PATIENT NOTICE - We will be closed from 2.30pm on Wednesday 24th April 2024 for staff training. For non-urgent queries, please use our Online Patient Triage. For medical problems that can't wait until we re-open, please call 111 or in an emergency dial 999.
When we are Closed
Emergency medical care is provided by some of our doctors and other local GPs working in a scheme called Urgent Care Herts (HUC) will be recorded.
A doctor or a specially trained nurse will assess each call and may offer telephone advice, invite the patient to attend the emergency surgery at HUC’s base in Addenbrookes Hospital or arrange for a home visit.
This service operates when the practice closes, ie from 6.00pm to 8.00am on weekdays and from 6.00pm Friday until 8.00am Monday.
During these times, should your require to consult with a doctor urgently, please telephone 111
Please note that for medico-legal reasons your calls to Out of Hours (HUC, Urgent Care Herts) will be recorded.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
