Electronic Prescriptions

The Health Centre offers the facility for prescriptions to be sent electronically to the pharmacy. The way in which you order your prescription stays exactly the same but once the prescription is issued by the surgery it is sent via a secure link directly to the pharmacy. Having your prescriptions sent electronically can be quicker as you can go directly to the pharmacy rather than having to collect it from the surgery or wait for the pharmacy courier to collect it. By sending a prescription electronically it eliminates the chance of it going missing as it can be tracked so we will always know where it is.

In order to start having your prescriptions sent electronically you will need to nominate a pharmacy. This can be near to where you live, work or a shop you go to regularly. You can nominate at either the pharmacy or the Health Centre Reception. Once you have nominated a pharmacy your prescriptions will always be sent there unless we are told otherwise.
