Following guidance from Cambridgeshire & Peterborough CCG, East Barnwell Health Centre will no longer be issuing prescriptions for Cetirizine (an Antihistamine) as this can be easily bought over the counter from a Pharmacy.

GP PARTNER RETIREMENT

 

We are sorry to inform you that Dr Steve Jones has decided to retire from the Partnership at East Barnwell Health Centre on 31st March 2019.

The practice is pleased to announce that we have appointed a new partner, Dr Alisdair MacNair, who will be joining the practice in August 2019.

Extended GP Opening Hours in the evenings and at weekends

Extra appointments to see a GP or nurse will be available to all our patients from Saturday 1st October 2018. The Cambs GP Network are providing Evening and weekend appointments at a hub in the local area.

You can book an appointment through the receptionist who will give you the time and date and venue for your appointment. These are for non-urgent or routine appointments.

You will be given a choice on when you would like to book your appointment and information on where to go to see your GP or nurse.

The National Diabetes Audit (NDA)

The practice is taking part in an important national project about diabetes care and treatment on the NHS. To take part, the practice will share information about your diabetes care and treatment with the NDA. Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group does not support the prescribing of medication that is available to buy from local pharmacies or supermarkets for children or adults with common illnesses and minor ailments that they could treat themselves at home.
